Now, you have probably seen or heard of the governments's FOOD GUIDE PYRAMID. Recently revised, it sets out a specified number of servings a day from various food groups. Using a pyramid is a great visual tool to help people remember what to eat each day, so that why the medical and nutritional team at THE BIGGEST LOSER put together its own version of the FOOD GUIDE PYRAMID. We call it the 4-3-2-1 BIGGEST LOSER PYRAMID.
1) FRUITS AND VEGETABLES : 4 SERVINGS DAILY, MINIMUM
At least half of your servings should be from vegetables; the other half from fruits. Don't have more fruit servingsw than vegetable servings.
2) PROTEIN FOODS : 3 SERVIINGS DAILY

A TRENDY GAL - The weekday rules of Simple diet

Although the diet is incredibly flexible, there are still some rules that you have to stick to in order to make it work. Below are the five rules to follow from Monday to Friday :)
1)Your weekend off is only Saturday and Sunday. It does not begin when you leave work Friday night and end with brunch on Monday Morning !
2) Don't skip meals or snacks. Instead of increasing your weight loss, this will actually slow it down as you need to keep eating regularly.
3) Try to stick to the diet as directed. It's been carefully planned to provide the optimum level of calories for weight loss and nutrients for health. In addition, it incorporates high levels of metabolism-boosting foods to maximize results.
4) If you do slip up at any point, don't fall into the "all or nothing" trap. Get straight back on the plan with the next Meal or snack - remember you have plenty of chances to eat treat foods at the weekend.
5) Don't skip the exercise section that starts usually. Working out can double or even triple the amount of weight you lose each week/ Also toning your muscles creates a firmer, slimmer, healthier body than can be achieved by weight loss alone.
